I have always loved gardening - starting with vegetables to feed a young family, tentative attempts at growing flowers, and then exploring dye plants. My garden has both food for the body and food for the soul.
Spinning and knitting were also skills I learnt when my family were young, and over the years I have developed my knowledge of wool, particularly the dyeing. I now also weave and make felt, always using the plant dyed fleece. |

The workshops have grown out of this way of living. I love passing on this information to people, and sharing with them some of the beauty and peace of the place where we live.

“Many thanks for a memorable weekend. The tuition, company, food, inspiration and setting were all outstanding but the best bit for me was seeing the amazing range of colours we produced (and the kingfisher.)” Susan |
